When extracting every bit of performance from an eleventh-generation Honda Civic Si, managing intake air temperatures becomes essential for consistent power delivery. The L15CA turbocharged engine offers strong factory performance, but under sustained high-load driving, intake temperatures climb rapidly. This reduces peak power output and prompts the ECU to pull timing as a protective measure. To address these limitations, we developed the Performance Intercooler Kit for the 2022+ Civic Si, engineered to lower intake air temperatures, increase airflow, and deliver measurable gains in horsepower and torque.
Our development process began with a thorough evaluation of the stock intercooler and piping system. The factory intercooler measures 26.18 inches wide by 4.39 inches high by 2.52 inches thick, featuring a 7-row tube-and-fin design with plastic end tanks crimped to the core.
